Mayra Fernandez is the Open Arms Employee Assistance Program Specialist whose prime responsibility is to serve the behavioral health and wellness needs of employees, employers and their family members. As an EAP Specialist, Mayra coordinates, designs, and presents employee training seminars and provides consultation to supervisors on a wide range of issues that impact employee performance and productivity. Mayra has 15 years of work experience in mental health services, chemical dependency, and education to promote the welfare of others. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Northeastern University with a minor in Sociology, and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LIU Post. Prior to joining LICADD’s clinical team, Mayra worked as a psychotherapist in Brooklyn for New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center. Mayra is very excited to be a part of the team and is dedicated to pursuing LICADD’s mission.
